What it can and can't show
A replay holds what each player ordered, not what happened: the game works that out by running its engine. So this page shows the orders (buildings placed, units and techs queued, where units were sent) plus what the game writes into the file itself: when each player reaches an age and, every few seconds to two minutes, their resources in the bank and how many units and buildings they have. Units on the map are estimates: each is drawn walking to where it was sent, at a typical speed. It can't show real positions, fights or kills. Totals worked out from orders, such as resources spent, are estimates too, and are labelled so.
